During this project I was aiming to master my pattern-cutting and making skills, improve technical understanding of a garment. The research into current designers' work gave an overview of alternative pattern-cutting methods and the ways to use drape. It also gave me a better understanding of fabric types and properties and the way they look within a garment. Inspired by my research, I tried to experiment with draping on a stand. Finally, I developed a garment from a sketch provided by my tutor.
